What is a brass band arrangement?

A brass band arrangement is the adaptation of a song to the typical instrumentation of a street brass band: trumpet, saxes, trombone, sousaphone and percussion. It splits the melody and harmony across the horns so the piece sounds full, festive and recognisable even with only a few players.

Unlike a concert-band score, a brass band chart is written to be played on the move: parades, squares, weddings or festivals.

How much does a brass band arrangement cost?

The price of a brass band arrangement depends on the complexity of the song and on whether it is a new custom chart or an existing arrangement from the catalogue. Catalogue sheet music usually starts at an affordable price per title, while a bespoke arrangement for your line-up is quoted per piece.
